FARINA 1709
Eau de Cologne Originale
"I have discovered a scent that reminds me of a spring morning in Italy, of mountain narcissus, orange blossom just after the rain. It gives me great refreshment, strengthens my senses and imagination."
In 1709 Farina establishes what is the world’s oldest fragrance company is today.
John Maria Farina (1685-1766) names his fragrance Eau de Cologne in honour of his hometown Cologne. In doing so he makes Cologne famous for its perfume in the 18th Century.
The people of Cologne honor their world famous citizen by placing a statue of him on the town hall, where it can still be seen today. The 8th generation of the Farina family still makes the original Eau de Cologne.
